Learn words from articles that match your interests

Explore short excerpts about travel, technology, science, culture, and other interests from public sources that keep updating. Translate a sentence and its words, then practice listening with adjustable speed and repeats. Each suggestion links to its original article and license; it is not a complete news article or an audio recording by the publisher.

Questions about online sentence learning

Is the online sentence translator free?

Yes. The web tool needs no account. It uses Google machine translation for the full sentence and individual words, with a limit of 400 characters and 40 words per analysis. Availability and rate limits still apply.

Can I export vocabulary from a sentence to Anki?

Yes. Select the words you want and export Anki CSV. Import the file into Anki and map Word and Meaning to your front and back fields. Sentence, Translation, Source language, and Target language retain the original context. This is a CSV file, not an APKG deck.

Does each word translation describe its exact role in the sentence?

Words are translated separately. A word with several meanings or a grammatical function may need the full sentence to interpret it correctly. Read the sentence translation alongside the word breakdown; these are machine translations, not AI tutor explanations.

Can I save sentences or use offline translation on the website?

The website has no saved history or review library and needs an internet connection for translation. The iPhone, iPad, and Mac app keeps a local study library, supports spaced repetition, and uses Apple Translation offline after the required language packs are downloaded.

Where do suggested sentences come from?

Suggestions are short excerpts or headlines from public RSS/API sources: Wikipedia, Global Voices, NASA, and Wikivoyage. Availability depends on the topic and source. Pools refresh hourly when requested; publication dates vary, and stale cached material is labeled. The original author, article link, and license are shown and retained in source-based CSV exports. Fixed practice samples are not mixed into online recommendations.

Are the suggested articles available in every translation language?

Recommendations currently use English-language sources. You can also paste your own text in any of the 20 supported translation languages. Browser pronunciation depends on the voices installed on your device. This is a vocabulary and listening practice tool, not a multilingual news feed or an AI tutor.
